Kids Summer Reading Freebies

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program (Grades 1-6)
1. Read 8 books of your choice.
2. Download and complete the Summer Reading Journal, noting your favorite part of each book.
3. Submit the journal at any Barnes & Noble store between July 1 and August 31, 2025.
4. Choose a free book from a pre-selected list, categorized by grade level.


Chuck E. Cheese Reading Rewards Program
1. Download the Reading Rewards Calendar from the Chuck E. Cheese website.
2. Track reading daily for two weeks.
3. Bring the completed calendar to a participating Chuck E. Cheese location.
4 Receive 10 free play points as a reward.
5. This offer ends on December 31, 2025, and can be redeemed multiple times throughout the year.


Panda Express “Read With Me” Program (Pre-K-5th Grade)
1. Educators enroll their class or educational program online. (can enroll as a homeschool, there is an application to fill out)
2. Students read 5 books, with progress tracked by teachers.
3. Upon completion, each student receives a free Kids Meal coupon.


Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Summer of Stories (June-August 2025)
1. Open to children in Pre-K through 6th grade (ages 4-12).
2. Parents set daily reading goals (e.g., 20-60 minutes per day).
3. Use the free BOOK IT! mobile app to track reading progress.
4. For each month (June, July, August) that the reading goal is met, children earn a digital coupon for a free one-topping Personal Pan Pizza from participating Pizza Hut locations.
5. Families can earn up to three free pizzas per child over the summer, with a maximum of five pizza per family per month.


Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (Ongoing)
1. Available to children from birth to age five, depending on local program availability.
2. Parents can check availability and register their child at imaginationlibrary.com/usa/find-my-program.
3. Book Delivery: Registered children receive a new book each month, delivered directly to their home.


Nothing Bundt Cakes “Books & Bundts” Youth Reading Program (June–August 2025)
1. Designed for Pre-K and elementary-aged students.
2. Visit a participating Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery to obtain a reading tracker.
3. Children record their reading time; for example, reading 400 minutes in a month.
4. Upon meeting the monthly reading goal, children receive a free Bundtlet (mini bundt cake) and an award certificate. 


Scholastic Summer Reading Program (May 9 – August 19, 2025)
1. Access the program through Scholastic’s Home Base, a safe, moderated digital environment.
2. Kids can read books and stories, attend weekly author events, interact with favorite characters, play book-based games, and more.
